Apart from the magnificent natural surroundings, you'll find something interesting to do all year round in Hakuba.

Winter
The Hakuba area boasts some of Japan's best skiing and snowboarding with a huge variety of terrain suitable for all levels - from beginner courses to backcountry ski trekking.  Hakuba is one of Japan's largest and most famous winter resorts, and was host to many of the Nagano Olympic events.

Spring:
In spring you can still enjoy skiing and snowboarding, as well as tennis and other outdoor sports.

Summer:
In summer, adventure seekers can choose from a variety of sports including cross country and downhill mountain bike riding, paragliding, trekking and white water rafting.  If you're not into adventure, you can just enjoy the natural surroundings, mountain flowers, fishing or just relaxing!

Autumn/Fall:
In the autumn months, the mountain scenery transforms into a beautiful display of reds and yellows.
